Watery landscapes

In Greek Mythology in Stymphalia lake lived the Stymphalian birds, man-eating birds with beaks of bronze and sharp metallic feathers they could launch at their victims. They were pets of Ares, the god of war. Heracles in his sixth labor shot them with his poisoned arrows. Corinthia, Pelopponese, Greece

Snow, ice, fog, clouds, rain, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, waves. All are forms of the most omnipresent substance on Earth: water. Its reaction with light is diverse. It can be transparent, translucent or opaque and it can cause diffuse or specular reflection. Humans are inspired by water, in fact they consist mostly of water themselves.

After spending a beautiful night  at the Asclepieio of Gortys we decided to join Rennate and George, a German couple we met the day before, for a morning hike at Lousios gorge. Christos went fishing trout at the river.
